EVANSVILLE, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun. 21, 2013-- Berry Plastics Group, Inc. (NYSE: BERY) announced today that it has appointed Rodgers Greenawalt, who currently serves as Executive Vice President of Product Management for Berry Plastics’ Rigid Open Top division, to the position of Executive Vice President – Operations.

Greenawalt assumes his new role July 1, 2013, in connection with the retirement of Randall (Randy) Becker as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer, who earlier this year announced his intention to retire. Rich added, “Rodgers has a well-rounded and extensive background in the packaging industry including experience in manufacturing, supply chain, product management, and finance. I look forward to working closely with him as we plan the commercialization of exciting new products.”

Greenawalt joined Berry Plastics more than 17 years ago through its acquisition of Venture Packaging.
