Berry Plastics Corporation Announces Exploration of Strategic Alternatives

EVANSVILLE, IN, March 30, 2006 - Berry Plastics Corporation, a subsidiary of BPC Holding Corporation (the "Company"), today announced that its Board of Directors is exploring strategic alternatives to maximize shareholder value, including a possible sale or public offering of the Company. The Company has retained Goldman Sachs & Co. and JPMorgan as its financial advisors to assist in this process.

 

The Company offers no assurance that any transaction will occur or, if one is undertaken, its terms or timing. The Company does not expect to publicly disclose developments with respect to the exploration of strategic alternatives.
